Model Answer:

Dear Mrs Smith, My name is Jane Edwards and I live in the local area. I am writing with regards to the closure of the local leisure centre. My husband and I are retired and we often go to the leisure centre to get some exercise. As you already know the weather in the UK is not great, so going out for a walk is not always possible - especially when it comes to exercising outdoors. However, we take regular classes at the leisure centre and also use the swimming pool. We would really struggle to find another leisure centre, as we do not have a car. Right now we live within 15 mins walking distance from the centre and it's very convenient. I would like you to look into the closure of the centre and we would really appreciate it. We did vote for you last year and we know you are very busy, but we hope you can look into this matter as a matter of urgency. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Kind regards, Mrs Jane Edwards
